What is “A Million Shillings Call?”

Answer: This is a promotion where Subscribers that receive many calls from local networks enter into a draw to win millions of shillings and other prizes.


How do I participate to enter the draw?

Answer: Simply receive a call and make sure it lasts at least one minute. The more calls you receive the higher the chances of winning. Calls that do not last a complete minute do not earn an entry into the draw, e.g., 00:00:59 does not qualify the caller for entry whereas 00:01:25 counts as just one minute.


How do I get entry into the draw?

Answer: For every call received that lasts at least one minute, the receiver gets three automatic entry points whereas the caller gets one entry point.


Does a call from a Warid number give me the opportunity to enter the draw?

Answer: Yes it does. All charged calls received from Ugandan numbers that last for a minute qualify one for a draw. Calls from Pakalast, Megabonus, Corporate Megabonus, Ovanite, and Pakachini and any other free minute offers do not qualify one for the promotion.


If I received an international call, would I stand a chance of entering the draw to win?

Answer: No you won’t. Only charged calls received from local networks qualify you for entry into the draw.


How does the person who has called me benefit?

Answer: They are also entered into the draw but with only one entry point.


How much money are you giving out?

Answer: 30 daily winners will receive Warid Pesa of 20,000/= each and 100 daily winners will get airtime of 10,000/= each. And for three months, 20 million UGX will be given out to one lucky winner at the end of each month.


How does one get contacted when they are lucky winners?

Answer: All lucky winners will be announced on NTV and contacted by the number 0705 555 555.


How much am I charged for receiving a call to participate in the promotion?

Answer: Warid does not charge any fee for participating in the draw.

I had already registered my Warid SIM card; will I be eligible for the lucky draw?

 

Answer: Yes you will be eligible for the lucky draw.

 

What documents are required to claim the prize?

 

Answer: You will be required to bring the customer acknowledgement slip and your ID.

 

I have registered but I've lost the customer acknowledgement slip; will I be still eligible for the draw?

 

Answer: Yes you will still be eligible provided you submit the same document you submitted at the time of registration and your face matches with our registration form photo.

 

Will I get the land of my choice?

 

Answer: No you will not get the land of your choice. We are randomly giving 100 plots of land which are spread across Uganda.

 

If I registered more than one time, will I get more chances to win?

 

Answer: No you will not get more chances. You need to register your SIM card only once and your serial number will be eligible to win for all 100 days of promo period. In the event you have multiple SIM cards, you will need to register all of them.

 

Can I win more than 1 prize?

 

Answer: No you cannot win more than one prize. Once your serial number is featured in any of our prizes than it will be removed for remaining draws.

 

My cousin/friend has registered the SIM with Warid but now I am using the SIM, I am eligible for the prize?

 

Answer: No you are not eligible for the prize. We are giving prizes to only those customers who have registered with us and also using the same card.

 

Is the offer available for Postpaid customers?

 

Answer: Yes it is applicable for prepaid, postpaid and data customers as well.

 

I am not a Warid customer; can I still enjoy this offer?

 

Answer: This offer is exclusively for Warid Customers and other network customers who have registered for Warid Pesa.

 

Is the offer applicable only in Kampala?

 

Answer: No the offer is applicable across Uganda.

 

I want to use my Warid SIM card only for Warid Pesa; will I be eligible for the lucky draw?

 

Answer: Yes you will be eligible for the draw, provided you have registered with us.

 

I am a non-Warid Customer but still I use Warid Pesa, am I still eligible for the Lucky draw?

 

Answer: Since you have registered for Warid Pesa you will be eligible for the draw.

 

Will the Lucky draw be taken on the basis of mobile number or by registration form Serial numbers?

 

Answer: Lucky draw will be taken out on the basis of the registration form serial number you have got during registration. And if you win we will contact you on your mobile number.

 

If I win the prize, from which number I will get the call?

 

Answer: You will get the call from our number 0705555555.

**   To join Mega bonus profile, call/dial 160 and follow the voice instructions or call 100 and select option 9. You will be charged 4,500/= (500/= to change profile and 4,000/= for initial weekly subscription). 

After joining, every time you load a 1,000/= scratch card you receive 1 free day of Warid to Warid calls, if you load a 5,000/= scratch card you will receive 5 free days etc. The airtime you load is not removed and you can use it to access other Warid products or to call other networks.

 

What does on-net mean?


Answer:
On-net means calls or SMS, MMS etc made/sent from a Warid number to another Warid number.


What does off-net mean?


Answer:
Off-net means calls or SMS, MMS etc made/sent from a Warid number to a number on another network within Uganda that is not Warid for example: a voice call from Warid to MTN, UTL, Orange Uganda, Airtel or SMS from Warid to MTN, UTL, Orange Uganda, Airtel. Off-net rates do not apply to international calls or SMS.

 

How can I change from Freedom per Minute to Freedom per Second?

 

Answer: To change from Freedom per Second to Freedom per Minute and vice versa, you can call 160 (toll-free) and follow the instructions or dial *100*9*6# and select the profile you desire to change to.

 

Am I charged for changing from one profile to another?

Answer: Yes the current charge is USh500.

How can I change from Freedom per Minute to Freedom per Second or any other new tariff plan?


Answer:
To change from Freedom per Second to Freedom per Minute and vice versa, you can call 160 (toll-free) and follow the instructions or call the Customer Care number 100 (toll-free), choose option 9 and follow the instructions.


How can I know which profile I am using?

 

Answer: You can Dial *100*9*1# on your phone.

Answer:

Answer:
Each MMS sent from Warid to Warid at any time of the day or week is charged at USh200.

 

Can I send an MMS from Warid to MTN, UTL and international numbers?

 

Answer: MMS at the moment can only be sent and received on Warid numbers.

How do I know my bonus balance?

 

Answer: Please dial *170#.

 

How do I check my airtime balance?


Answer:
Dial *131# and your account balance will be displayed on screen. Alternatively dial *100*9*7#.

ABOUT MEGA BONUS

What is Mega bonus?

 

Answer: Mega bonus is a prepaid rental profile whereby you get free Warid to Warid calls when you load airtime cards of 1000/= and above. The number of free call days you received is dependent on the value of the airtime card loaded, e.g., loading 1000/= airtime card gives you 1 day of free calls, an airtime card of 10,000/= gives you 10 days.

 

What happens if I load multiple scratch cards of different values in one day, do I get the total sum of days equivalent to the total I have loaded?

 

Answer: No. You will receive only the day’s equivalent to the airtime card of the highest amount. Mega bonus days are not cumulative.

 

When do I start enjoying Mega bonus free calls after I have loaded airtime

 

Answer: Your free calls are available for use the next day.

 

Will I get Mega bonus free days if I receive balance share airtime?

 

Answer: NO. Mega bonus free days can only be received after loading through Airtime Cards

 

How do I check my free hours or Mega bonus minutes?

 

Answer: Dial *170# is currently unavailable to Mega bonus subscribers but you can call 100 and press 0 for Customer Care assistance.

 

Can I access Internet while on Mega bonus?

 

Answer: YES. And the charge remains 2/= per kb.

 

How do I activate the Mega bonus profile?
