  1. How do I activate the service or request to get this Data service?
    By simply sending an SMS;
    • For monthly Unlimited- send ‘DATA 30’ to 158.
    • For monthly Unlimited- send ‘DATA 7’ to 158.
    • For Daily Unlimited- send 'DATA 1' to 158.

  2. How much do these packages cost?
    • Monthly Unlimited- Ush 60,000/-
    • Weekly Unlimited- Ush 20,000/-
    • Daily Unlimited-Ush 4,000/-

  3. Can I request for more than one unlimited day?
    No, it is not possible to request for multiple unlimited days.

  4. Can I request for than one unlimited month?
    No, it is not possible to request for multiple unlimited months.

  5. Can I request for DATA 1 and DATA 30 within the same day?
    No, it is not possible to purchase both packages immediately one after another because they each grant you a maximum amount of data.

  6. Do I need special activation to use this service?
    This service can be accessed from any Warid prepaid simcard. Load the airtime for the desired package and with a simple SMS, you purchase the data and begin surfing freely.

  7. Do I need special settings to use the data?
    The Warid branded modem comes fully preconfigured but on the other hand if you are using any other modem or your phone, you will require getting the correct settings.
    Please contact customer care on 100 toll free to get these settings.

  8. If I buy this data can I use it on my Handset as well?
    Yes, as long as you have the correct Warid GPRS settings.

  9. What is the meaning of Unlimited Daily?
    You can access unlimited internet for a period of 24hrs, thereafter, you either have to subscribe again or be charged the pay-per-use fee of Ush 2/kb.

  10. What is the meaning of Unlimited Monthly?
    Here one can access unlimited internet for a period of 1 month (30 days), once this period has passed, you either have to subscribe again or be charged the pay-per-use fee of Ush 2/kb.

  11. How is this new DATA 1, DATA 7 and DATA 30 service different from the old DATA 5 and DATA 85 service i was on?
    With this new improved version of the service, your new activation codes clearly indicate the number of days you want to subscribe to i.e. DATA 1 for one day, DATA 7 for 7 days (one week) and DATA 30 for 30 days (one month). The old DATA 5 and DATA 85 activation codes for daily and monthly unlimited are still applicable at a revised price of 4,000 and 60,000 shillings respectively.

    And also, You no longer have to come to the warid offices to request that the data be activated after loading airtime. You simply activate the service by yourself using an SMS.
    P.s You can actually load your airtime from the warid mobile partner software directly.
