You can register for Warid Pesa Services by visiting an authorized Retailer outlet. To register for Warid Pesa, you have to fill in a registration form, sign it and submit required identification documents for verification. Upon successful registration, you will receive a welcome SMS and a system-generated 6-digit activation code on your registered mobile number. You can then use this code to activate the account.
Activation of Warid Pesa Services using the Internet
You need to log into Warid Pesa Services WAP application by providing the URL in the Internet browser of your mobile phone and activate the account. The Retailer willl help you in activating your account.
You should enter www.waridpesa.com in the address bar of your browser.
STEP 1:
Press/select customer and then press activate user account as indicated below;
Enter your mobile number and the 6-digit activation code sent to your mobile phone by SMS to activate your account and press Next.
Step 1: Enter a Personal Identification Number of your choice
Step 2: Re-enter the MPIN in Step 1 to confirm
Step 3: Press Submit
This Mobile PIN will be used to authenticate any transaction that is being initiated from your mobile phone as well as any other channel supported by Warid Pesa Services.
On successful validation, your account will be activated. And you will be able to log into the Warid Pesa Services.
Using Warid Pesa
After successful completion of activation, You will be able to access various services available in Warid Pesa, and perform various transactions:
The Send Money feature is used by registered customers of Warid Pesa enabling them to transfer funds from their Warid Pesa account to a beneficiary’s account.
- Send Money – Registered Customers: As a registered customer you will be able to send money to another Warid Pesa registered customer.
- Send Money – (Non-registered) Customers: You can also send money as a registered customer to a non-registered customer.
A fee for sending money will be charged to the customer as applicable.
